We had a great stay and would absolutely recommend this property. The views of the lake were incredible, and our girls absolutely loved spending time at the beach area. Communication was excellent from start to finish; we always received quick responses. Unfortunately, we missed our flight and didn't arrive until very late at night. Since we were only staying one night and traveling with our kids, we reached out to ask about a late checkout so they could get some extra sleep in the morning. The host was incredibly gracious and accommodating, allowing us additional time despite knowing that late checkouts aren't always possible or convenient for hosts. We were very grateful for that kindness and flexibility. Overall, we really appreciated the hospitality, responsiveness, and understanding shown during our stay. Thank you for helping make a stressful travel situation much easier for our family. We would gladly stay here again.

We had a fantastic time. The house was great, nice terrace, great hot tub, very spacious incl. a fireplace in the living room. Katie was very pro-active and cared about us. All in all a great experience and we would come back any time.

This cottage was the perfect place for an overnight girls trip. We walked downtown for local eateries and spirits and felt safe walking back at night. The cottage offered us the cozy welcome home feeling. The host had plenty of fans/heaters in the home for comfort preference, left a gift card to a local eatery which was delicious and the best choice for a light breakfast. The welcome note was a cute personal touch. If you are looking for a clean and cozy place to stay that feels off the beaten path and secluded, yet within walking distance to all of the things, this is the place. The host reaches out to make sure all your needs are met and is easy to communicate with. I would stay here again, for sure.

A wonderful home to stay in! Katie was very proactive in communicating before our arrival and very responsive to a question I had during our stay. The farmhouse is beautiful, the bedrooms and bathrooms are updated and so nice, and the firepit was a fun evening spot for a s’more! I can’t recommend the property and hosts enough!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and can’t recommend this property enough. The setting is peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind. We loved starting our mornings with coffee on the dock, paddling around the lake in the kayaks, and ending our evenings in the hot tub or around the fire pit. The location was ideal for exploring the area. We enjoyed a day trip to Saugatuck Dunes State Park, visited the South Haven lighthouse, shopped downtown, spent a day at North Beach, and loved being less than five minutes from the Kal-Haven Trail for walks and runs. What truly sets this rental apart is how incredibly well-stocked it is. From toiletries and laundry supplies to spices and kitchen essentials, nearly everything you could possibly need is provided. It was easily the best-equipped vacation rental we’ve experienced. The home was perfect for family breakfasts and dinners, and the entire property felt serene and welcoming. We left refreshed and will be planning another visit.

We had a beautiful stay in the West Olive Cottage! First, the view is absolutely outstanding!! The home was accommodating and had everything we needed for a wonderful getaway. Tom and Katie were very responsive and checked in as well. We couldn’t have had a nicer visit, would definitely come back and visit again and stay here!

Beautiful place to stay we had a group of woman away for a weekend to recharge. Amazing amenities and a lot of small touches that were thoughtful and helpful when staying away from home. The host left plenty of towels, beach towels, easy to get into the home easy to get into contact with to ask questions. Home is very well kept, clean, and has so much to offer you really don’t even need to leave the property once there if you don’t choose to. Hot tub is AMAZING! So relaxing in the nice manicured private back yard area, the lighting and fireplace make you feel like you are away at a spa. Love the walk to the end of the street to the private beach. Using the tram makes that way easier to access. Perfect for families couples or a friends getaway highly recommend we will be back.

The cottage is curated warm and feels like your family has been coming there for ages. Katie and Tom are the same way, so I’m not surprised their space is also warm. The view and privacy is incredible. And my son and family loved the addition of the bikes! Made my first trip to Lake Michigan a memorable one.

We had such a wonderful weekend at Katie’s lake house. First of all, Katie is a fantastic host and replied to messages extremely quickly. She is a pleasure to work with and went out of her way to make sure we had a perfect weekend. She even pixie-dusted us with some generous extras that were so appreciated. The house is gorgeous. It is nicely decorated and very cozy. It was extremely clean. The private grounds are just beautiful. The house has many windows that allow you to see the trees and beautiful lake. The view is stunning. We loved sitting on the private dock. The fire pit is wonderful, and we enjoyed using it. The hot tub is relaxing and such a nice feature. We came in early May and it was pretty chilly, but we layered up and enjoyed the backyard anyway—it was too pretty to pass up. We also enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage. The garage and house are well stocked with everything you could need and more. We absolutely loved this property—will return! A perfect home!

The Cottage was as adorable as the photos show, and the location was astonishingly beautiful. The bathroom is comically small, but the photos show that and it didn't cause any issues for us. When they say "private beach" they mean it. We walked the beach for hours and had it almost entirely to ourselves. The views are unbeatable. We ate breakfast while watching the purple martins and ducks flying over the dunes. And you just can't beat watching the sun set over the water with a cocktail on the deck. Hosts were responsive, and everything went as smoothly as we could have ever hoped. I hope to return in the years to come.

We loved this place! Master bedroom was so nice, the bed felt like heaven! haha.. we got to enjoy the hot tub and it was a super close walk to the beach! the only downfall was the lights around the hot tub weren't working but we made the best of the situation! were already planning to come back next year!!

Beautiful cottage and location on a private beach; sunset views were incredible. Tom and Katie were very proactive and instructions were clearly communicated. Unfortunately I only stayed one night so I didn’t make much use of the kitchen, but they provided everything you could think of for a long-term vacation, including beach activities.

We rented Katie’s place for a girls weekend getaway and it was perfect! Great location in proximity to downtown south haven and we loved doing sunset walks to the private beach. Plenty of space for everyone and such a peaceful back yard! We will definitely be returning :)

Such a charming cottage with fantastic views of the woods and water. The upstairs sun room had gorgeous views, especially as the sun went down. It is a close walk to town (10-13 min) with sidewalks the whole way. We stayed here for the Tulip Festival in Holland. It was a short drive to all the activities, and we got to come “home” to a lively walkable town with great restaurants, shops, and galleries. Oval beach was just a 10 minute drive, with wide sand and fabulous sunsets. The house was well stocked and we appreciated all the small touches like tea and coffee. Really enjoyed the stay!

The home was beautiful and Katie was so responsive with any questions we had. We asked if they had skewers for smores shortly before check in and she sent them to the house so we would have some to use. So thoughtful:) Couldn’t recommend them enough!!

We wanted to extend our stay last minute and she was great about that! Also let us check in early. 5 star+ experience! House had plenty of room for our family of 6 and had everything we needed! We have already booked it again in a couple months! We especially appreciated the garage access, snow shovel and salt on the front porch, and having the driveway plowed at least twice while we were there with so much snow! Thank you, Katie!!!

Katie’s place was great! The location was perfect for our stay, we were able to go to Cogdal winery right down the road and visit downtown South Haven. Katie was very thorough and directions for check-in and check out were very clear.

What a wonderful time my husband and I had at the (cabin in the trees), which was a beautiful, peaceful place to be, and Katie was so endearing with her checking in on us and all the extras she did.

We absolutely loved our stay at this home! Everything inside is decorated with such great taste—from the beautiful paintings on the walls to the dried flowers in the vases. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials (oil, salt, spices, coffee, and sugar), which made cooking so much easier. The backyard features an excellent grill with all the necessary tools, a great fire pit, and plenty of firewood.Our children had fun running around the yard. we liked lilac at the yard.We also really appreciated the collection of board games and outdoor games. House is located near the road, but its still quiet. We have been on the lake Michigan 10 min, Holland 30 min, Saugatuck 15 min. The host is very friendly and always available if we had questions.
